Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The International Journal of Clinical, Medical and Health Sciences is committed to maintaining high standards of research integrity and responsible scholarly publishing.

The journal expects authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers to uphold principles of honesty, transparency, confidentiality, accountability, and academic integrity.

Authors

Authors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that submitted work is original.

  • Providing accurate research information.

  • Properly acknowledging sources.

  • Meeting applicable authorship requirements.

  • Disclosing financial and non-financial conflicts of interest.

  • Declaring sources of funding.

  • Providing ethical approval information where applicable.

  • Obtaining informed consent where required.

  • Avoiding duplicate or simultaneous submission.

  • Cooperating with investigations concerning potential misconduct.

Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Evaluating manuscripts fairly.

  • Maintaining confidentiality.

  • Managing conflicts of interest.

  • Protecting editorial independence.

  • Ensuring appropriate peer review.

  • Taking appropriate action when ethical concerns arise.

  • Correcting the scholarly record when necessary.

Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Provide objective and constructive assessments.

  • Declare potential conflicts of interest.

  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.

  • Avoid using unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.

  • Notify editors of suspected ethical or methodological concerns.

Research Involving Human Participants

Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.

Where applicable, manuscripts should include information concerning ethics committee or institutional review board approval and informed consent.

Patient Privacy

Authors must protect patient confidentiality.

Identifying information, photographs, clinical details, or other personal information should not be published without appropriate consent where such consent is required.

Animal Research

Research involving animals must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical requirements.

Clinical Trials

Where applicable, clinical trials should be registered in an appropriate publicly accessible trial registry before publication, consistent with applicable standards.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate:

  • Plagiarism

  • Fabrication

  • Falsification

  • Duplicate publication

  • Manipulation of data

  • Unethical authorship practices

  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

  • Other forms of research or publication misconduct

Suspected misconduct may be investigated and appropriate corrective action may be taken.

The journal's policies are informed by recognized medical publishing and research-integrity principles, including the current ICMJE Recommendations.
